It runs ActiveTrack 8.0 for crowd-penetrating subject tracking, supports Apple DockKit for native app tracking, and pairs with the Multifunctional Module 2 to follow people, animals, and general objects. 10-hour battery, built-in extension rod and tripod, 360° pan rotation, and USB-C phone charging round out the package.

The Only Osmo Mobile With a Detachable Remote
The 8P is the only Osmo Mobile with the FrameTap remote (phone screen mirroring + tap-to-track), Multifunctional Module 2 compatibility (object tracking + fill light), and the wider split tripod design (97mm radius vs. 77mm on the 8/7P). ActiveTrack 8.0 is shared across the current lineup, but the 8P adds the remote control layer and expanded module ecosystem that the standard 8 and below lack.
